Swiatek se rassure et se balade

Iga Swiatek had a need to regain her confidence. Visibly jaded in recent weeks, the Pole needed to reassure herself urgently.

After a very difficult first round where she seemed quite uncomfortable, the world number 1 found her form this Thursday, tormenting poor Shibahara in barely an hour of play (6-0, 6-1).

Carried by a rediscovered tennis, Swiatek thus re-enters the race for the title and will challenge the winner of the duel between Cocciaretto and Pavlyunchenkova for a spot in the eighth-finals.
